The dietary aide assists the Chef and/or cook in the preparation and service of meals according to planned menus. The dietary aide is trained in special diets, and is responsible to check tray accuracy during meal service. The dietary aide works ensure a high quality dining experience for patients by preparing the dining room and assisting the nursing staff in serving patients during meals. The dietary aide assists in the preparation of snacks and nourishments for residents, as well as washing and storing dishes in compliance to federal, state and local requirements.
